S.H.E's “Chinese” in Spring Festival Gala Evening

In the New Year's Eve on February 6th, SHE sang their most recent pop-hit named “Chinese” in Spring Festival Gala Evening for all Chinese all over the world. The program has been broadcasted by CCTV which was considered as the most popular television channel for many years.




The song “Chinese” was favoured by people despite of their age group in the spring festival gala. However, it was disappointing because of the dancing girls around S.H.E when they were singing. The way the scene was set out and also the way in which the girls danced were at odds with the song S.H.E was singing. S.H.E's latest hit “Chinese” includes some tongue twisters to represent the fact that Chinese is becoming one of the most popular language in the world. As said by host Li Yong: 'Nowadays, many foreigners are learning Chinese, but we have made it easier for them to learn it in the way of singing it out loud.' But the dresses the dancing girls wore nor the dance itself has anything to do with the content of the song. It is inexplicable that the performance of “Chinese” have a great deal of water scene setting.
