Do you know the meaning of 'Bull Fight'?

May be it is just me, but I find the new TV drama by Hebe very hard to understand in its context. If you are not so good at Chinese, may be you wouldn't understand the meaning of so- called 'Bull Fight - Dou Niu‘ It is the same in Chinese as 'Bull Fight' 斗牛，but it is not really what you do with a bull like you do in Spain. If you watch the series carefully, it is really a form of sport, you can say it is basketball related, but it is not basket ball either strickly speaking. So I assume it is just a casual game where you play up to 6 rounds in the form of basket ball with cheating allowed!

when you watch the drama series, the player with the ball look like the bull and the other player look like the matador! I think that's where the name came from!

Thx for the details. I was surprised too when I read for the first time 'dou niu', I didn't understand the link with a bull lol. When I understood that it was a sort of special basketball duel, it reassured me ^^

I did a bit of research, apparently the game was invented in America, only three players are allowed in the game at once, so I think that is why East Sun/ Dong Shang team is called Trio.

my friend told me that bull fight is a from of basket that there aren't many rules... just to win...
